Description
A fine George III silver spoon with marrow scoop handle, plain in design with an extended single drop to the bowl. The drop is engraved with marriage initials: T above E E.
Hallmarks:
Mark of ‘W C’ in a rectangular punch, consistent with William Cattell, overstriking another, unidentifiable, mark; Lion Passant Gardant (sterling); Leopard’s Head Crowned (London); lower case ‘a’ (1776-7).
